Stock Underpass
Location: Cromwell-Luggate Highway
Contrax (Central) Ltd was the principal earthworks contractor on the Tinwald Underpass project.
Involvement:

Constructed and maintained a new two lane diversion road around the main worksite on state highway 6.

Setup underpass work area including survey set out,safety fencing creating safe work zones.

Excavate trench for underpass to correct depth, work around (protection of underground Chorus cables),and compact foundation.

Place compact and test backfill,
-
Install soak pits and dewater concrete sump for dewatering pump,
-
Form new road subgrade road shoulders and seal,
-
Excavate access ramps, reinstate new boundary fences.
We worked closely with subcontractor’s onsite to ensure safety when approaching different tasks of the project.

Project: Ballantyne Road Safety Improvements
Location: Ballantyne Road, Wanaka
Involvement:
Contrax (Central) Ltd are responsible for all Earthworks along Ballantyne Road for upgrading the road to be sealed.
